"I’ve always seen the gym as more than just a place to train; it’s where you build the vision for your life... Don Wildman was a true original who embodied a lifelong commitment to fitness, one that allowed him to live life to the fullest. Receiving an award in his name from NASM is a great honor. It reminds us to keep challenging ourselves and to support the next generation in fulfilling their potential," Arnold explained in a press release.

Over the years, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a monumental figure in promoting physical activity and public health. Through his huge influence, 'The Austrian Oak' has influenced a massive number of people to hit the gym.

Beyond that, he guides them throughout their journey via his newsletter, educating them on what’s right and wrong in the sport.

From the Pump Club Newsletter to the Arnold Sports Festival and hands-on health advocacy, he’s keeping fitness within reach.

That's not all, he has even worked with the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, helping to champion youth fitness initiatives and organizations like After-School All-Stars.

Wildman Family Backs Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Latest Milestone

The Wildman family is deeply committed to preserving Don’s legacy, and they are pleased that Arnold was chosen to receive this year’s award.

“Arnold Schwarzenegger embodies the ideals of innovation, leadership, and inspiration that the Don Wildman Commitment to Excellence Award was created to celebrate. He provides a role model for fitness professionals throughout the world to follow,” said John Wildman.

With this, Arnold joins the prestigious list of recipients, including 2024 honouree Augie Nieto, who was recognized for his contribution to equipment innovation.
