The newest California Hall of Fame class includes members ranging from Hollywood stars to politicians and Olympic athletes. But the two major names, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis, caught the world's attention.

On March 3, California Governor Gavin Newsom, along with First Partner (wife) Jennifer Siebel Newsom, announced the names of 9 new members based on their contributions to creativity, social progress, and civic life.

This time, the names of Schwarzenegger and Curtis were announced to mark their entry into the Hall of Fame, but the two have also shared the screen in the 1994 blockbuster, True Lies.

The official Hall of Fame induction ceremony featuring Schwarzenegger, Curtis, and the other inductees is scheduled to go down at the California Museum in Sacramento on March 19.

According to Governor Newsom, “The inductees of the 19th class of the California Hall of Fame have reshaped our culture and our communities. Resilient and innovative, these leaders and luminaries represent the best of the California spirit.”

Arnold’s journey to this honour showed a long chain of achievements over the decades. In the late 1960s, he moved from Austria to California. After building a solid reputation in bodybuilding, Arnold became an international movie star.

He acted in movies like The Terminator,  Kindergarten Cop, and Predator. Beyond Hollywood, Schwarzenegger also served as California's 38th governor from 2003 to 2011.

On the other hand, actress Jamie Lee Curtis was born in Los Angeles to the legendary actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. The “Halloween” actress built her own legacy and starred in successful movies such as A Fish Called Wanda, Trading Places, and Knives Out.

In 2023, the actress also won the Academy Award for her supporting role in the movie “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

Now, coming back to Arnold Schwarzenegger, this is not the first time he has been inducted in hall of Fame.
