Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals how he ended the feud with Sylvester Stallone

Arnold Schwarzenegger has finally revealed what put an end to his infamous feud with Sylvester Stallone. The 7-time Mr. Olympia explained that their rivalry, which once dominated the box office, was resolved by an unexpected business deal.
In a short YouTube clip shared by Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM radio show on June 21, 2025, Arnie recalled the situation between him and Stallone, saying, “We hated each other.”
When asked what made them both come together, the Terminator actor said, “Well, it was like, Planet Hollywood.”
Later, describing the situation, the Austrian Oak said, “We were kind of attacking each other and doing nasty things, and saying nasty things about each other and all these stupid things.”

According to the Fubar star, it was an unexpected business venture that helped them reconcile. He added:
“All of a sudden, I started working with Robert Earl and Keith Parish to create the Planet Hollywood franchise, those restaurants.
The next thing I know is I get a phone call from my lawyer, who was also Sly’s lawyer. He said, 'Arnold, is there any kind of room for Sly in Planet Hollywood?'”
Schwarzenegger took advantage of the opportunity, hoping the idea would bring them together.
He continued, “Sure enough, we made it work. And Bruce Willis became part of Planet Hollywood, Whoopi Goldberg became part of Planet Hollywood, Chuck Norris… It really was kind of an international cast.”
The restaurant chain was founded in 1991 in New York City, supported by Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and other top stars listed above.
After making up, the two legends worked together on the Expendables movies and have been open about their past.
While the bodybuilding legend admitted how the field between him and Stallone ended, the Rocky star also revealed what he thought about Schwarzenegger when he appeared on the screen.

In April 2024, the two appeared on an interview for “TMZ Presents: Arnold & Sly: Rivals, Friends, Icons.” In that joint interview, Stallone admitted that he viewed the former Mr. Olympia as a threat when The Austrian Oak appeared on the movie scene.
He said, “Finally, something to motivate me. Because he is, dare I say it, competition, a threat, whatever word you wanna use. As soon as I saw him, it was like bang, two alphas hitting.”
Even agreeing with Stallone's narrative, Schwarzenegger replied, “There’s no two ways about that: He was very helpful in my career because I had something that I could chase.”
Their story shows how professional rivals can become close allies and help each other grow in their careers.
