Many don't mind burning staggering amounts of money to live healthy for a longer time, but Arnold Schwarzenegger recently suggested a much cheaper remedy, that could have similar benefits.
On February 18, 2026, Arnold’s Pump Club shared a newsletter in which Schwarzenegger outlined a diet that can add as many as 3 years to a person's life.
'The Austrian Oak' shared that scientists evaluated the diets of over 103,000 people using the Mediterranean, DASH, plant-based, AHEI, and Diabetes Risk Reduction patterns. It was found that diets containing certain foodstuff, like more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, and nuts promote healthy living for a longer time.

The 7x Mr. Olympia also outlined that certain things, like sugar-sweetened beverages and processed meat, must be avoided completely or partially to achieve a longer life.
The bodybuilding legend believes that “the foundation of a longevity-supporting diet isn’t about picking the right team; it’s about getting the basics consistently right.” Hence, he has also tried to educate the masses about a healthy breakfast.
Arnold Schwarzenegger Suggests Having This in Breakfast
Schwarzenegger once shared how adding one easily available item can help with the improvement of memory. He stated, “A walnut-rich breakfast led to faster reaction times and improved memory later in the day.”
Arnold Pump Club's also agrees with the research of Dr. L. Bell and team, who stated that walnuts' combination of omega-3 fatty acids, polyphenols, and protein can enhance brain function and help stabilize blood sugar levels.
They also found that the EEG scans showed good results in individuals who ate a walnut-rich breakfast, with enhanced brain function and faster reaction after 6 hours.
One who does not prefer walnuts can take:
- Chia seeds
- Blueberries, and
- Other flavonoid-rich foods.
