Arnold Schwarzenegger offered a rare glimpse into his personal life as he recently stepped out with girlfriend Heather Miligan for some quality time.

The Hollywood star, who is usually seen pumping iron or throwing bad guys out of the window on the silver screen, was recently spotted enjoying a date night with his longtime girlfriend, Heather Miligan. Schwarzenegger and Milligan dined at the popular Japanese restaurant, Nobu, in Malibu on April 28. It was their first public appearance together in nearly a year.

The couple has been dating since 2013 and has kept their personal life largely private, which is why such an appearance is relatively uncommon. The Commando star was dressed in a dark blazer layered over a black top with jeans, while Milligan donned a white outfit and blazer with gold buttons. The two were photographed leaving the restaurant together after dinner.

Talking about his girlfriend to People magazine, the former Governor once said, “We have so many things in common. I think the world of her. I love that she’s into working. She’s clearly independent. She just is driven as hell.”

For those of you wondering, Milligan is a licensed physiotherapist and owns Elite OrthoSport Physical Therapy & Performance. Her clients include professional boxers, and athletes of MMA, NFL, NBA, MLB, Tennis, Figure skating, Volleyball, and many others.

The two first met in 2012, eight months after Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver ended their marriage. He needed physiotherapy after shoulder surgery while preparing for the film Escape Plan, and his surgeon suggested Milligan.

"So I went to her, and then after my therapy was finished, after I was finished with the movie, I called her back and took her out for lunch to say thank you," he added. "And then one thing led to the next."

The couple was first spotted in 2013, and since then, Milligan has accompanied him to many events and premieres. But given that Schwarzenegger has an ex-wife, let's take a look at his relationship with her.

He even thanked Shriver, saying, "I've also been lucky to have the love of amazing women in my life. For decades, Maria stood by my side for every decision and, to this day, is such a fantastic mother to our children."

On the other hand, their children also share a close relationship with Schwarzenegger's girlfriend and have been spotted with her on many occasions.
