Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Ex-wife Bags Major Entrepreneurial Recognition

Apr 3, 2026, 3:18 PM CUT

It has been a great couple of weeks for Arnold Schwarzenegger. First, his son Joseph Baena won his first bodybuilding competition, and now his ex-wife, Maria Shriver, has been bestowed with a new recognition, which highlights her growing presence in the business world.

Shriver has been included in the 2026 Female Founders 500 list by Inc. Magazine. The list is an annual ranking of women entrepreneurs who are primary drivers for innovation and building impactful businesses across various industries. She took to Instagram on March 10 to thank Inc. Magazine for the honor.

In her speech, she also appreciated all the female entrepreneurs, saying, "I have so much respect for anybody who has built a company and even more respect for the women who have built it. It's harder as a woman to get capital. It's harder to get people to believe in you. You do it through grit, through determination, because you believe that what you're building will make the world better.

Being included in The Female Founders 500 list is a huge deal for any woman, given that the list itself is pretty selective. It celebrates only the ones who have shown great leadership, growth, social impact, and originality across industries like tech, health, finance, and consumer goods.

Shriver earned her place on the list for founding a company, Mind Over Snacks Health (MOSH), that manufactures products that boost cognitive health. She founded MOSH along with her son, Patrick, and they produce items like protein bars designed to improve brain function.

But it’s not all business for Shriver, as the idea behind MOSH was something deeply personal to her.  After losing her father, Sargeant Shriver, to Alzheimer's 20 years ago, Maria began her efforts to advocate for Alzheimer’s awareness.

And MOSH is a direct result of that. It is her small effort to support brain health research at the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement at the Cleveland Clinic.

Shriver's success also comes from the fact that she never shied away from presenting her vision to the masses on noted platforms.

Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger Took Mosh to the Shark Tank

At the Season 15 finale of Shark Tank, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver pitched MOSH to the Sharks and asked for $500,000 for a 2% stake in their company.

Among all the Sharks, Greiner appeared the most interested in their product. She offered the mother and son duo $500,000 for a 6% stake in their company.

Patrick countered the offer with a 3.5% stake, eventually settling for 3.5% and an additional .5% advisory share.

Well, Shriver's journey from Shark Tank to being included in The Female Founders 500 speaks volumes about how she is breaking the norms to encourage more women to take up entrepreneurial roles.
