Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Progeny Share Sweet Mother’s Day Wishes for Their Mother
Mother's Day is supposed to be simple, right? But it brought out a very different side of the Arnold Schwarzenegger family this year, and it sure made a huge buzz around the internet.
Schwarzenegger has 4 children with his ex-wife Maria Shriver, and amongst them, Katherine and Patrick were very vocal in wishing their mother, Shriver, a very warm Mother's Day.
Katherine has never been shy about her devotion towards her mother. Five years ago, during an interview with Shriver's Sunday Paper newsletter, she labeled Shriver "the mother of all mothers." This year, she shared an Instagram post featuring a carousel of Shriver's snaps to dedicate the day to her. The lengthy caption to her post started with, "Happy Mother’s Day to the queen mother!"
Arnold's son, Patrick, kept it simple but elegant and uploaded a story on his Instagram. It was a black and white hug photo with a "Happy Mother's Day" tag.
Well, the Terminator actor has another son who is actually following in his footsteps. Joe Baena also uploaded a story, but things looked a little different here. It was a competition photo with his mother, Mildred Patricia "Patty" Baena, the former Schwarzenegger family housekeeper.
For those unaware, Mildred was Arnold and Maria's housekeeper for more than 20 years, from whom Joe was born. Joe was 13 when he found out about this fact.
It happened a day after Schwarzenegger stepped down from his post as the governor. And, with this news, Shiver and Schwarzenegger decided to separate their paths.
From that time on, Joe has been maintaining a close relationship with his father. And he has already started enhancing his legacy in bodybuilding.
Joe Baena's journey in Arnold Schwarzenegger's footsteps
Joe Baena's story featured him in a competing attire with his mother. And hence, it also spoke volumes about how he is on Arnold's carved path.
The story displayed him standing with a ripped body and a medal around his neck while Mildred Patricia "Patty" Baena was by his side in a mint green tracksuit, clutching the Iron Gladiator trophy, as she won it herself.
Baena has achieved amazing milestones by just competing in 2 competitions. He also earned his pro card, only in his second show.
This year, in late March, he dominated his debut at the NPC Natural Colorado State competition, standing first in the Men's Open Bodybuilding Heavy Weight Class, Men's Classic Physique True Novice, and Men's Classic Physique Novice.
One week later, he took first place at the INBA Iron Gladiator competition in Southern California, only his second competition ever.
Joe has his reasons to keep the Baena name professionally so that when he succeeds, he knows "it's all me." Two competitions in, it's hard to argue otherwise.
Let us know in the comments if you think Joe Baena is going to reach the pinnacle of bodybuilding like his father!
