Aubrey O’Day’s Workout and Diet Blueprint to Keep a Fit Body in Her 40s

When Aubrey O’Day was just five, her path was already set. She began her life in theatrics early, explaining in one interview, “I lived on the stage, and even at six, slept behind the seats of the theatre.”

Years later, she is living her dream life. At 41, she not only recorded multiple albums and appeared in numerous shows but also has done incredible work as a model. Her confidence reflects longevity, and her approach to fitness is driven by consistency and internal healing.

She begins her day with a structured vocal warm-up that sets the tone for her schedule. Immediately after, she moves into an intense workout in her home gym, where her trainer guides her through a disciplined, army-style training regimen.

“My trainer typically takes me through a boot camp–style hour workout [with] 30 minutes of running,” O’Day explains. A boot camp-style workout session is quite fast-paced, featuring high-intensity exercises that build both functional strength and cardiovascular conditioning.

Over the 60-minute session, Aubrey O’Day progresses from a warm-up to a multi-station circuit, a short cardio burst, and finally a brief cooldown. For Aubrey, who regularly clocks 3 to 10 miles a day, exercise has become her most reliable coping mechanism.

“I enjoy it because I spend an hour before thinking about what I’ve gone through, what I’m thinking about, what is stressing me out, and then I program a playlist with music that fits into whatever I’m going through, and I’ll run until the playlist is done.”

After her rigorous workout, the next step is to center herself and align with the energy she intends to embody for the rest of the day. “She(Vardy) takes me through 30 minutes of breath work, followed by sonically aligning me with energy vibrations through humming.”

She treats her workout plan seriously as it sets her mood for the day, and for that reason, she is strict about what she eats.

When it comes to food, Aubrey O’Day is all about a balance that goes to extremes. Being a model, she understands the importance of staying slim throughout the year, and that’s why her approach to nutrition is quite simple: cut out the unnecessary and prioritize nutrient-dense, good-quality foods.

“I’m observant about how much I’m putting in my body versus how much I’ve worked out in that day. I believe that’s the only serious consistent way of slimming your figure down because the fad diets, the pills, the drinks, the only eating certain things … that stuff is all complete BS.”

However, that does not mean she avoids treats. She still enjoys a slice of cake or pizza because she believes in balance and understands that no one can follow a strict diet forever.

“Nobody’s consistently going to stay on that unless they want to be miserable. For me, I say everything in moderation. Eat what you like – enjoy what you like.”

Aubrey is not chasing a flawless physique built on strict guidelines, but wants to focus on the balance, which is pretty rare these days. She trains consistently, eats what she enjoys in moderation, and follows a straightforward mantra: stay active, stay disciplined, and avoid extremes.
