Brock Lesnar’s daughter, Mya, once dreamed of becoming a volleyball star, but fate had other plans.

During an interview, when sports anchor Zoe Weir asked track and field star Mya Lesnar how she got into the sport, Mya had an interesting answer.

"I actually started out playing volleyball, and I wanted to go to school, actually, to play division one volleyball, but I didn't get any offers, and I did track on the side a little bit just to stay in shape for volleyball."

Maya added that it wasn’t until people around her began pointing out how much she was improving that she started to take the sport seriously. What began casually soon became more serious as she recognized her growth.

As college offers slowly started coming in, she gained confidence in her abilities and ultimately chose to commit to track and field. She added, "I was like, okay, like I could really do this thing, and yeah, I just fell in love with it."

The daughter of WWE and UFC star Brock Lesnar, Mya Lesnar, is now finally an American collegiate track and field athlete. She is best known for her dominance in the shot put, representing Colorado State University.

Mya won the 2024 NCAA Women’s Shot Put National Championship and was named 2023-24 Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year. She also won the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championship.

What does Mya's daily routine look like?

Being a track and field athlete requires a good amount of discipline and unwavering dedication to daily training. And that's what Mya Lesnar's approach is for herself. She is dedicated to her training and makes sure to enjoy it as much as she can.

She starts her day at 7 in the morning with a cup of coffee and a nice breakfast. She then heads off to practice, followed by weight training, either right after her morning practice or later in the afternoon with her teammates. Her favorite dining hall at CSU is The Foundry, and every time she is there, she enjoys their steak.

Just like her multi-sport athlete dad, Mya has also played various sports like hurdles and long jump. She was also a part of her high school 4x100 relay team.
