Bugzy Malone Trains Twice Daily: The Routine That Keeps Him Fit
Manchester rapper Bugzy Malone is opening up about his intense fitness regimen. In a new video with Men's Health UK, he revealed the twice-daily training and boxing secrets that keep him in fighting shape.
On April 7, Men’s Health UK dropped a video for their new series “How Rap Got Ripped” on their YouTube channel, showing Malone practicing his boxing and revealing his secrets.
While talking to Men’s Health director, Andrew Tracey, “Through the Night” singer revealed that he first walked into a gym and started his boxing journey at the age of 17. He even said that he “got beaten up a couple of times”.
The rapper added, “You sort of get the bug and you sort of become your best self.” Consistency and hard work will always pay off.
Talking about his weekly routine, the artist revealed that he trains “ Twice a day.” He further added, “If I come in to do boxing, we'll do maybe eight rounds of some kind of pad work, me getting hit and throwing some shots.”
Malone practices boxing with his trainer, Frank Appiah, and his practices include:
- Part 1: Pad work (for warm-up)
- Part 2: Body sparring (8*3 minutes on/ 1 minute off)
Not only that, after hopping in the ring, the rapper taught some fundamental techniques to MH director Tracey, including:
- Jab
- Cross
- Combination of Jab/cross
- Hook
- Elbows up
After learning the basics, both of them have a “One minute of light touch sparring.” The MH director said it focuses on 'Just aiming to land a hit and hoping Bugzy doesn't hurt me too much.”
The results were clear. The rapper won the one-minute challenge with 18 points to Tracey's 6. This session shows Malone's dedication to his fitness and his passion for boxing.
Apart from boxing and training, the “Beauty & the Beast II” singer also disclosed his dietary habits.

The actor’s usual post-work meal includes:
