Canadian retired bodybuilder and six-time Classic Physique champion Chris Bumstead gave his fans a glimpse into his impressive training physique. Fans showcased their excitement as his bodybuilding documentary, The Standard, entered its final stage.

An Instagram video posted by @beyondthestagetv_ showcased a side-by-side video of Bumstead on the left and a clip of his firstborn, Bradley Shay Bumstead, on the right. In the video, Bumstead is watching the screen with a heartfelt expression on his face.

The post is captioned, “The @cbum film is in its final stage of completion. @markandrewbone from @theartofdocumentary shared a moving moment between Chris Bumstead & who I imagine is his firstborn, Bradley Shay Bumstead. No confirmed date of when the film will premiere.”

The teaser trailer for 'The Standard', directed by the award-winning filmmaker Mark Bone, was officially released on November 14, 2024. However, there is no news of its release yet.

The movie is a boon for all the bodybuilding fans,who will get to know the behind the scenes of Bumstead's life.

Fan reactions reveal anticipation for 'The Standard'

With over 5K likes on the video, fans were quick to share their love for Bumstead in the comments section of the video.

A fan commented, “The Best! 🔥” on the video, clearly indicating his love and loyalty towards Bumstead.

Soon after the video was posted, another commentator said, “Is this @netflix might actually be something worth the subscription.”

The comment highlighted how excited the fan was to watch the film, admitting that if the documentary were aired on Netflix, the subscription would be worth paying for.

Similarly, another fan commented, “Genuinely more excited to see this than any other film due for release in 2026.” It is clear to see how excited fans are for his upcoming documentary.

However, one comment particularly caught people’s attention. The comment read: “Assuming it's going to be like pumping iron without all the controversy?”

Most people who have watched Pumping Iron remember all the controversy and rivalries featured in the film. In reference to that film, the fan hoped that Bumstead’s new film would be a fun, light-hearted, behind-the-scenes look into the world of bodybuilding, without the controversy and drama.

One fan even requested an “IMAX” release of the film, as the larger-than-life visuals would do justice to the film.
