Conor McGregor Spotted Training His Children at Gym After Confirming Max Holloway Rematch at UFC 329
What does a champion do after stunning the entire world by announcing his comeback? He goes back to spending time with his children.
And that's exactly what the Notorious Conor McGregor is doing. After shaking up a storm by announcing his return to the cage, Conor McGregor is now hitting the gym, but for a whole other purpose. He is training his kids.
The UFC royalty shared a video on Instagram on May 21 from the gym, but instead of preparing for his upcoming comeback fight against Max Holloway, he was seen training his three little McGregorretes.
McGregor will be returning to MMA after a five-year hiatus. His last fight was against Dustin Poirier in 2021, where he suffered a loss and a serious leg injury. The fight with Holloway is a rematch of their featherweight fight held in 2013, where McGregor won.
Originally, his comeback was set against American fighter Michael Chandler in 2024, but McGregor pulled out of the fight just over two weeks earlier after breaking his toe.
Also fighting at UFC 329 will be Paddy Pimblett, who will be taking on Frenchman Benoit Saint-Denis in his first bout since losing to Justin Gaethje in January. British flyweight Lone'er Kavanagh, who will fight Brandon Royval, and the unbeaten Luke Riley, who fights Kai Kamaka at featherweight.
McGregor might be preparing for his upcoming fight, but sometimes he takes a timeout to spend some time with his family, and if his Instagram page is to be believed, it is mostly in their gym. Last month, the 37-year-old shared another video from his gym featuring his family.
The video showed the whole family getting fit together; his wife was on the leg press machine, his daughter on the treadmill, while his boys were just running around. But all fun and games aside, how are the actual preparations going?
How are the fight preparations going?
The Notorious has been training for the fight and giving little sneak peeks now and then. Just a few days ago, he shared a video on Instagram of one of his training clips, which showed him punishing a power shot hook bag with some powerful shots. He was training with longtime coach John Kavanagh at SBG in Ireland.
According to ESPN, McGregor said, “Camp 100%, this is. We are going in 100%. I am going into this fight 100% Conor McGregor. Not 92%. 100%.” On the power of his punches, he added, “I’m throwing rockets, these are missiles.”
McGregor also shared another video practicing his karate on a dummy. Just a few hours after sharing the video, he announced his comeback.
So, how excited are you for his return?
