Conor McGregor’s Training & Preparation for His 2026 UFC Return Against Max Holloway

The highly anticipated rematch between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway is scheduled for July 11, and McGregor seems to be taking no rest from his training ahead of UFC 329.

On June 6, Fight Bouts shared a YouTube video featuring McGregor training hard and working through explosive striking drills.

During the preparation, the former two-division champ revealed the intensity of his training by saying, “H 100%. This is, yeah, we're going in here 100%. I'm going into this fight 100% Conor McGregor, not 92. 100%.”

The Notorious is also sparring with elite strikers, sharpening the quick combinations that define his style.

He does not rely on raw speed. McGregor’s striking story is all about his timing, distance control, and his ideology, which holds that “Precision beats power and timing beats speed.”

On May 27, mma.pros.pick shared a short clip on its Instagram account featuring McGregor’s statement in which he revealed his preparation for the game.

McGregor said, “I built my career on prediction. I told these fighters that I was facing what I'm going to do, how I'm going to do it, and when I'm going to do it, and the perfect scenario. And then as I went on, and only that, I would obsessively visualize the most perfect scenario, and 99% of the time it happened, and then that one time it didn't, or that 1% it didn't happen.”

He also admitted that over the years, he has learned from his worst game situations and knows how to handle uncertain situations.

So, with that philosophy, how is McGregor getting trained for his game against Holloway?
