Doctors Recommend That Donald Trump Do More Exercise and Lose Weight
While the entire country participates in the 'Murph' fitness challenge, President Donald Trump needs to lose weight, according to the May physical results released late Friday.
His physician, Dr. Sean Barabella, wrote in a letter, “Preventive counseling was provided, including guidance on diet, recommendation to take a low-dose aspirin, increased physical activity, and continued weight loss.”
However, she also wrote that he was in "excellent health" and demonstrated strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function.
“Cognitive and physical performance are excellent. He is fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”
Trump also took to social media after his check-up and said, “Everything checked out PERFECTLY.”
Trump has gained around fourteen pounds since last April. Now he weighs 238 pounds with a 6-foot-3 frame, with a BMI of 29.7, which is slightly below the clinical threshold of being obese (30).
The physical examination lasted three hours straight at Walter Reed, with 22 specialists present. The tests included a CT scan, heart imaging, and cancer screenings. Trump's heart showed almost no abnormalities, and all lab results were normal.
Trump was also diagnosed last year with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that causes blood to pool in the legs. The latest report noted slightly lower leg swelling, though it had improved compared with the previous year.
The exam report revealed the bigger picture of Trump's day-to-day health and a few habits he should change.
Donald Trump: Aspirin Habit, Hand Bruising, and a Perfect Cognitive Score
According to the reports, bruising was seen in the hands of Donald Trump, which is associated with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and described as a common effect of aspirin therapy.
Trump reportedly takes a high dose of 325mg aspirin daily, well above the dosage his doctor recommended. "I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart," he told The Wall Street Journal.
Trump even scored full marks during the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, 30 out of 30. These cognitive tests are often done to detect early dementia.

Trump is currently taking three medications: aspirin for cardiac prevention, Rosuvastatin, and Ezetimibe for cholesterol control.
Do you think Trump, at 79, is as fit as he can be, or is there room for improvement?
