Dua Lipa’s Secret to Toned Abs: No Crunches, Reformer Pilates Core Moves
Last December, Dua Lipa concluded her 81-city world tour. Yet, even when she's not touring, Lipa's schedule is packed with nonstop travel, dance rehearsals, and more. Yet she's found a way to not only maintain but improve her fitness.
However, unlike many celebrities and entertainers, Lipa's toned abs and physique aren't the result of a traditional workout alone. A big part of her fitness involves reformer pilates.
“I always make time to get a good workout in whenever and wherever I’m in the world,” Dua Lipa told Vogue in September 2025, and reformer pilates help her meet those goals.
“I love that I can wake up, roll out of bed, and get right to it on the reformer... I love that I see such instant results,” said the 30-year-old singer. And being fit with a strong core is crucial to Lipa.

“If you have a strong core, then you’ve got a strong lower back,” she shared. Hours of live performance on stage in high heels can put tremendous pressure on someone’s lower back.
However, the secret to avoiding injury and stress on the body lies in strengthening the lower back with specific exercises. In fact, the English singer-songwriter is invested in fitness that she even became a co-founder and chief creative officer for Frame.
Frame is an at-home version of the reformer machine that's found in many pilates gyms, and it's what Dua Lipa uses to keep her fitness on track even when she's at home.
However, pilates isn't the only thing Dua Lipa does
In mid-2025, the Grammy Award winner showcased how she also regularly does yoga, whether she's on tour or at home.
In June last year, Dua Lipa posted a video on Instagram, where she showed what she does to keep herself stage-ready during tour. Lipa starts off her mornings with electrolytes and colostrum, before doing yoga.
A week later, she posted an Instagram story where she gave a glimpse into her at-home health and wellness routine as per British Vogue.
In the story, Dua Lipa revealed that she was doing an at-home Yga session with instructor and Reiki practitioner Francesca Dinardo. She captioned the post “yoga @ home.”
Besides reformer pilates and yoga, the 30-year-old also incorporates HIIT and some boxing into her fitness routine as per a 2022 Women's Health report.
