Comparisons are common in bodybuilding, but some raise eyebrows. Such an incident occurred when a video of an 18-year-old bodybuilder caught fans' attention, and his physique was compared with that of six-time Classic Physique Mr. Olympia champion Chris Bumstead.

On June 18, the official Instagram handle for BTS TV shared a post of Daveon Hill posing in the gym, captioned:

“18yr old sensation & @hosstilesupps athlete @daveon.08 looking absolutely nuts! Let’s not forget… he is only 18 yrs old. Is this the most impressive 18-year-old bodybuilder in recent time?”

The text overlay on the video read: “18-year-old with Cbum-level genetics.”

The comparison is based on the impressive physique of Hill, who also has great size and conditioning at such a young age. He is being trained under the guidance of Dr. Chris "El Magma" Eastman, an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and the founder of BlackMagma fitness. 

In addition, Hill is set to make his NPC debut later this year. BTS TV shared the news on June 3. The post reads,

“Is @daveon.08 the most impressive 18yr old bodybuilder in the world? He’ll be stepping on stage later this year in his NPC debut.”

Chris Bumstead started lifting at 14 and, over the next four years, went from 170 to 225 lbs under the guidance of coach Iain Valliere. He entered his first competition in 2014 at 19, a regional competition in Ontario, and won the overall title. 

It will be interesting to see what Daveon Hill brings to the stage at NPC this year, and whether the comparison can stand the test of time.

But for now, fans are showing their love and praising his commendable physique.

Fans react to Daveon Hill's physique

Bodybuilding fans and supporters were blown away by Hill's physique. Under BTSTV's IG reel, one fan simply wrote:

“The goat.”

Another fan praised the Hill's physique, saying, “No stopping This beast.”

One supporter compared him to legendary bodybuilder and eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman and wrote:

“He got better genes than cbum, he's on Ronnie level.”

Another seconded the sentiment, also comparing Hill with the legendary Flex Wheeler, writing:

"Nah man that’s sum flex wheeler/ Ronnie genetics."

Another wrote, "My boy making it."

One supporter dropped an energy-fueling with an emoji-laden message, writing: “Let's go🔥👏👏🙌💪👊💪”

Though Daveon Hill's physique and conditioning look competition-ready, it will be interesting to see how he presents himself on stage among the other participants at the NPC.
