5 Tallest World Champions In Boxing Today

In boxing, size can be a massive advantage. A taller boxer often has the reach advantage over thier opponent. While there are ways to get around height, a new generation of towering champions is using natural gifts to dominate the sport.
Here are five of the tallest titleholders fighting today who prove that reach and height, when combined with skill, are a formidable recipe for success.
#1: Noel Mikaelian (6ft 3in)
The American-born German boxer, Mikaelian, has claimed the WBC cruiserweight title twice. His towering height (190 cm) and intimidating 75-inch reach are key factors in his style. However, it's also his strategic approach to boxing that has helped cement his status.
#2: Oleksandr Usyk (6ft 3in)
Usyk has a longer reach of 78 inches, giving him an upper hand in the heavyweight and cruiserweight divisions. However, it's his results that do the talking, having held undisputed championships in both divisions. He is also the first male boxer to become a 3x undisputed champion across all four major belts.
#3: Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (6ft 4½in)
The 29-year-old Russian boxer made a relatively recent professional debut in 2021. Surprisingly, he has already smoked through the cruiserweight division, holding the WBA cruiserweight title since 2024.
#4: Fabio Wardley (6ft 5in)
WBO heavyweight champion since 2025 and former interim WBA heavyweight champion, Wardley is one of Britain's fiercest. Not only is his stature towering, but his explosive, high-output, aggressive striking all combine to produce an assassin inside the ring. In fact, Wardley has had zero losses in his entire career, cementing his place further.
#5: Sebastian Fundora (6ft 5½in)
The 28-year-old boxer from West Palm Beach, Florida, Fundora, is the tallest boxing world champion today. However, in stark contrast with his other tall peers, the American competes in only the light middleweight division.
He currently holds the WBC light middleweight title, and has formerly held the WBO light middleweight title between 2024 and 2025.
From cruiserweight to light middleweight, these boxers prove that when height is paired with elite technique and fight IQ, it truly becomes one of the most formidable combinations.
