49-year-old Floyd Mayweather shows brilliant hand speed at training ahead of possible return

After a nine-year hiatus, Mayweather is finally set to make a possible comeback. An Instagram post shared by @ringmagazine on July 4, 2026, highlighted a training clip of Mayweather. In the video, Mayweather trains intensely, showing off his trademark hand speed. His crisp combinations and lightning-fast reflexes reflect his intense training and brilliant abilities.
The Instagram video, captioned “Floyd Mayweather on his star power ahead of his comeback 👀Do you agree with him? 🤔” quickly gained traction online.
With over 22.4K likes and over 2.7K comments, fans eagerly await his anticipated comeback, speculated to be in Athens. Mayweather had been vocal about retiring after setting a perfect record of 50-0, saying he had ‘nothing left to prove in the sport of boxing.
"This is my last fight, ladies and gentlemen. For sure, this is my last fight," he said, as per ESPN, prior to his fight with McGregor back in 2017.
According to Sky Sports, he also claimed to believe that his career was officially over, as he felt that he was in good health and financially secure. As per records, he made over $700 million during his career and was satisfied with where he was in life.
