“French Golden Child” Hartman earns pro card and eyes Olympia
Samuel Hartman, aka French Golden Child, came into the spotlight after winning his IFBB Pro card at the Ben Weider competition in Spain on May 3.
On May 4, the Bodybuilding Total Instagram account shared the news, featuring an image of Hartman wearing the medal and a video showing the French bodybuilder posing on stage.
The post revealed the news with the caption, “Impressive performance by @samuelhartman, earning his pro card in the Classic Physique category. Without a doubt, this guy has huge potential, and we’ll likely see him very soon aiming to qualify for @mrolympiallc 🔥⭕.”
Hartman’s journey to becoming a pro is interesting. He is a WNBF champion, having won in 2024. In 2026, he also debuted in the NPC, earning the 2nd title.
Talking about his place at Mr. Olympia, after transitioning from WNBF to NPC, Hartman appeared on BTS TV on December 29, 2024. When asked about the reason for his transition, the bodybuilder replied,
“Answer is very simple. It's just because I reached my first dream that to be the world champion in the Natural Federation, so WNBF. I always have this second dream to come on the stage of the Mr. Olympia.”
During the interaction, the Pro bodybuilder also revealed that his first dream was to win the WNBF championship in 2024. However, after achieving that goal, his current target is only Mr. Olympia.
Although winning the Pro Card at the Ben Weider competition has helped him cross half the way to the Mr. Olympia stage, according to the current rules of the competition, one needs to earn 2 Pro Cards during the 2026 session to qualify for the Classic, Men's Physique, or Wellness division of the biggest bodybuilding competition in the world.
Only time will tell when Hartman gets the chance to appear at the Orleans Arena. But from his workout posts, it is clear that Hartman prefers to stay ready at all times for any opportunity.
