Gina Carano is preparing for a superfight with Ronda Rousey. After nearly 15 years away, she took to Instagram to praise the team she believes will lead her to victory.

Carano took to Instagram on March 18 and shared photos of her new team at the Syndicate MMA gym.

“The people you surround yourself with make the difference. I love my team and the gym I’m working in so much. It’s not easy, and that means I’m in the right place," explained Carano.

"@syndicatemma I admire these men and women I get to train with so much. Unbelievable heart and determination. Leaning in. Embrace the journey,” she added.

After almost 15 years away, Carano has turned to Syndicate MMA, working under head coach John Wood alongside Kevin Ross, Chris Brennan, and Lucas Brennan.

Carano is also putting in work alongside former bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili. Meanwhile, Rousey is training under a new team as well.

“I’ve been training harder than ever. I have an entirely new team around me now. I’m better than I’ve ever been. I’m super strong and fast, my technique is back!” added the former Bantam Weight Champion.

What Gina Carano’s head coach had to say

The last time Carano fought in the cage, she lost to Cris Cyborg. While the Ronda Rousey vs. Cris Cyborg fight never happened, Carano is going all in for this superfight.

Speaking to MMA Fighting, John Wood talked about the 44-year-old's mindset. “She’s taking it very seriously, as I’m sure Ronda is,” said Wood.

“I can tell you this, she’s fired up. We’re firing on all cylinders already. She’s coming out there to win that fight. There is no intention of just showing up. Showing up’s not good enough. Showing up for me isn’t even acceptable. We’re going out there to win the fight,” he added.

Meanwhile, fans are already calling this one of the most anticipated women’s MMA fights in history. Interestingly, it's a bout Dana White tried booking back in 2012–2013, but Carano withdrew to focus on acting.

However, this time there's no such distraction. Tell us your predictions in the comments.
