Harrison Ford Displays Ripped Physique at 83: Inside His Training
At 83, Harrison Ford might just be proving to the world that his age is the easiest stunt he has ever pulled. While most people are already slowing down in their 60s, Ford is gearing up, living an incredibly active and action-hero-ready lifestyle.
An Instagram post shared by @nypost on July 12, 2026, showcases 83-year-old Ford showing off his muscular arms and ripped physique while biking in Southern California. His workouts might have changed slightly, but still consist of traditional dumbbell and medicine ball drills, along with core strength and total-body conditioning.
“I believe in training for injury prevention more than anything else,” he said, as per Men’s Health.

Outside of gymming, Ford still enjoys sports like tennis and cycling.
However, Ford never properly embraced the gym till his 40s, when he was training for the character of Indiana Jones. His typical workout routine, during that time, was designed by his trainer, Jake Steinfeld.
According to Men’s Health, his workout routine looked like this-
- Monday and Thursday – triceps and chest
- Tuesday and Friday – biceps and back
- Wednesday and Saturday – legs and shoulders
- Abs every day
However, Ford has been vocal about his physique and health being built in the kitchen and not just in the gym.

Like many modern athletes, Ford understands the importance of cutting out items like meat and dairy from his diet. However, he has not taken this step merely for his health, but also for the good of the environment.
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (as per Men’s Health), the veteran actor revealed this interesting aspect about his diet.
“I just decided I was tired of eating meat,’ he said. ‘And I know it’s not really good for the planet, and it’s not really good for me,” he said.
When asked what his diet primarily looks like, he commented, “[I’m eating] practically nothing,” with a laugh. He revealed that all he eats is vegetables and fish.
Overall, Ford doesn’t believe in following any sort of restrictive diets or fitness trends. Rather, he has shifted his mindset to make his diet incredibly simple over the last few years.
His workout routine, just like his diet, has remained incredibly simple.
"I don't work out like crazy; I just, I work out a bit. I ride bikes, and I play tennis a little bit.”
Ford’s fitness routine and clean eating are definitely working wonders for him, as he looks better than ever at 83.
