Maria Shriver and her son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, are continuing the fight against Alzheimer's. The mother-son duo recently promoted their brain-health brand, Mosh, which was inspired by Shriver's late father.
“Our goal is to have a MOSH bar in every person's life,” said Arnold Schwarzenegger's ex-wife and the co-founder of Mosh Bars, Maria Shriver, in her latest appearance at the KTLA, along with her son Patrick Schwarzenegger, on 24th December.
Founded in 2021 on World Alzheimer’s Day, Mosh is a protein bar brand built for brain health, with a direct focus on the Alzheimer’s community.
“My dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2003. And so I've been on a crusade to try to understand it and prevent it. For the only bar in existence that is totally focused on your brain and your body. It's been a joy to work with my son.”
Back in 2003, former United States Ambassador Sargent Shriver, Maria's father, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. A year later, Maria wrote a book called 'What's Happening to Grandpa?' so children could understand the disease. And after Sargent Shriver passed away in 2011, Maria has continued raising awareness about Alzheimer's.
Earlier in 2025, Maria and her son Patrick held their second 'Mosh BrainFest', kicking off Alzheimer's Awareness Month on November 1 with their event. These efforts culminated in the creation of Mosh.
The Exceptional Rise for Mosh
Started with seed funding, Mosh has maintained an exceptional growth curve. As per reports, their revenue already exceeds $10 million.
"MOSH is a protein bar made specifically for your brain. We are loaded with 12 to 13 grams of protein and we have ingredients that support a healthy brain like Omega-3s, Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3, and functional mushrooms like lion's mane, ashwagandha [and it's] non-GMO, gluten free, [and] high in fiber," said Patrick back in his appearance at Shark Tank.
While MOSH is positioned for growth, its ultimate impact on Alzheimer's awareness remains to be seen.
