“He’s Going to Be a Problem”: Milos Sarcev Warns About Sergey Danilov

Mr. Olympia 2026 is only 8 months away, and while all the aspirants are working hard, Sergey Danilov caught Milos Sarcev's attention with a special act.
Danilov, the 6’1” bodybuilder with his 340-pound weight in the offseason, was recently seen engaging in a playful wrestling session with a bear. To be precise, an 890 lbs bear.
That video went viral in the bodybuilding community, and in the Menace Podcast’s 270th episode, Chris Cormier said, “That dude is huge, man. I saw him before, but he’s looking a lot more impressive now”. Scarev echoed the same sentiment and said, “Yeah, he’s going to be a problem”.
Danilov's massive size can definitely create problems for the other 2026 Mr. Olympia contestants. Apart from that, the Russian bodybuilder looks like he's practicing by playing with the bear.
Danilov has already proved his Pro status by earning the title of 2024 Super Heavyweight NPC Worldwide Regional Cup and qualifying as an IFBB Pro. He also won the 1st place in the 2025 IFBB Tsunami Nutrition Showdown, France Pro’s open division. With this win, he booked his place in the Mr. Olympia 2026.
During the podcast episode, Cormier was seen suggesting that Danilov work on his back and add more mass to that area. He also suggested that the Russian bodybuilder work on his abs to further highlight definition.
Now, it looks like Sergey Danilov has already started working on the suggestion.
Sergey Danilov’s Preparation for Mr. Olympia 2026
IronRating shared a video of Sergey Danilov working out at the ALMAZ gym alongside Andrey Prokofyev. He is the same coach who trained Alexey Lesukov.
Praising his coach, Danilov said, "He influenced my thinking in many ways. I’m very grateful to him! And to this day, he takes part in my career, without any ulterior motive, because this is our choice, this is our path."
Danilov has already started his bulking process, which would take approximately "10-12 weeks." Danilov also confessed, "I’ve never weighed as much as I do now, 151 kg in the morning, 155 kg in the evening”.
In the video, he was seen doing strength training and some machine work. Danilov also follows a structured daily routine that includes:
- Wake up.
- Eat
- Train
- Recovery
- Rest
- Sleep.
So, are you excited to see this Russian giant at the 2026 Mr. Olympia? Do you think that he will be able to bag the title with this workout regimen?
