“He’s in Shape”- Victor Martinez Talks About Logan Paul’s Bodybuilding Possibilities
What would it be like seeing Logan Paul on the Olympia stage?
During the latest episode of the Generation Iron Podcast, former IFBB pro bodybuilder Victor Martinez gave his take on whether WWE star and YouTube star Logan Paul could realistically make a move to bodybuilding, and surprisingly, Martinez believes that Paul has what it takes to make the transition.
"I don't know, man. Maybe he'll try to set up a competition with somebody that he could easily beat, you know, but uh, he is in shape. Um, I think better shape than his brother. I think Logan Paul could definitely uh step on that stage."
The discussion started when co-host Vlad Yudin brought up Logan Paul’s recent comments claiming that he built his physique from doing “100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups every day.” While the hosts were skeptical of the claim, it put Paul’s overall athleticism and potential in the spotlight.
Martinez acknowledged that although the claim may be unbelievable, his physique and conditioning are undeniable. And that athletic background gives him a major advantage in bodybuilding. Besides being a WWE superstar, Logan Paul also built a reputation through boxing and combat sports training.
The discussion on Logan Paul came immediately after they discussed WWE wrestler Ivy Nile's shift to bodybuilding.
The conversation began after Yudin brought up Ivy Nile’s first bodybuilding competition after her transition from WWE. Martinez pointed out that professional wrestlers already possess many of the qualities needed to become a bodybuilder.
“She’s an athlete,” Martinez said. “Once you’re an athlete, you can do anything,” Martinez noted that although Ivy Nile does not yet possess the structure of a top-level Olympia competitor, her physique and overall athletic base are in shape.
And she is not the only one to make this transition this year.
Tiffany Stratton Also Came Back to Bodybuilding
Besides being a WWE superstar, Tiffany Stratton also transitioned back to bodybuilding and is preparing for an upcoming NPC competition. She was already a bodybuilder before signing with WWE in 2021.
She was the overall winner of the Figure category at the NPC Twin Cities Open in Minnesota. At that time, she went by her real name, Jessica Woynilko. Stratton announced her plans in a video,
“I’m currently nine weeks out from my second bodybuilding show ever. I’m going to step on stage again and just kind of see where things are at. I remember I fell in love with bodybuilding, and then I got signed to WWE, so I couldn’t really do both at the same time. But I feel like now I’m in a position where I can balance it.”
She also noted that she is juggling between wrestling and bodybuilding, but is not letting the traveling for WWE become an obstacle. She ensures to find good gyms wherever she goes.
