Courteney Cox was only 30 when she first appeared in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. After that, she has delivered multiple movies, including Scream. And over the years, 31-year-old Cox's focus on fitness and longevity has impressed fans just as much.

So, how does she stay fit in her 60's? Well, Courteney Cox's workout routine is incomplete without strength training.

"As I get older, I realise it’s more important for me to do weights. It’s amazing how I used to be really muscly but not so much anymore," she told Marie Claire in 2022.

Cox has a home gym where she does leg press, crunches, and treadmill work. "I’ll be on the treadmill for three minutes, and then I’ll be on a machine, and then I have a leg press, and she’ll have me do crunches. I think machines are so much more fun than doing mat work. But she kind of incorporates both," she told British Vogue in 2023.

Her strength training routine also includes leg raises on the Captain’s chair, chest press, chin-ups, sumo squats with a kettlebell, and shoulder press.

However, Courteney Cox doesn't ignore cardio as she practices boxing and pilates. She also walks and runs for 30 minutes, 3 times a week. Then comes functional fitness as Cox puts the work she does in the gym to test during tennis sessions.

Naturally, all activity requires a lot of fuel, and Cortney Cox takes nutrition just as seriously.

How Courteney Cox approaches diet

The 61-year-old prefers eating a well-balanced, protein-dense meal. She loves veggies such as spinach and broccoli. Back in 2013, she told New You, “some of my favorite foods in the world are vegetables. I just love kale, spinach, broccoli, and asparagus. Anything green I crave."

However, the actor doesn't exclude animal protein either. "I also eat a lot of protein like steak, chicken, and some fish like tilapia.”

While speaking with The Kitchn, the MTV Movie & TV Awards winner said she normally doesn't eat breakfast but occasionally drinks a protein shake.

Her lunch usually consists of turkey roll-ups, and for dinner she likes to cook broccoli and steak. Dishes such as Korean chicken, meatloaf, soup with lots of veggies, and protein are also part of the menu.

While she doesn't really like drinking gallons of water, Courteney Cox makes up for that by drinking juice.
