How Jane Seymour remains fit and keeps a toned physique at 75 with Pilates and Gyrotonic training
Even at 75, Jane Seymour doesn't take a day off from movement, even when the movement is small.
"Your body is meant to move. Whether it's a full workout, a walk around the block, or just a good stretch, something is always better than nothing. You don't need perfect conditions, just the commitment to start," the East of Eden actress wrote on Instagram, as published by Women's Health.
That mindset has carried her through more than 18 years of consistent training with personal trainer Jeeny Miller in Malibu, blending Pilates with the lesser-known Gyrotonic method.
Seymour began mainly practicing Pilates, but Miller quickly converted her to Gyrotonic. Developed by Juliu Horvath in the 1980s, Gyrotonic uses specialized equipment and circular, spiraling movements designed to build a more supple spine, greater range of motion, joint stability and agility, drawing influence from swimming, dance and yoga.

According to Kate Cheng from Women's Health, Seymour’s favorite move is the Pilates Teaser, lifting her legs and arms while pushing against the TrapTable. She also regularly performs the elephant on the reformer, working the abs, arms and legs simultaneously, along with the mermaid, a side-bending move that opens through the obliques.
Her broader routine includes The Hundred, plank to pike, reverse crunches, bicep curls, tricep dips, sidekicks and pelvic curls, rotating through three or four machines each session to maximize each one.
Apart from just working out, her diet is also top-notch.
Seymour's One-Meal Day For Keeping Her Fit
Jane Seymour's secret to staying at a size four isn't a strict workout regimen. It's timing her food differently than most.
The former Bond girl, now 75, revealed to the Daily Mail that she really only eats one full meal a day, and it's not breakfast or dinner. It's lunch.
"At lunchtime I have a full meal because then I can really enjoy it. I love fish and vegetables, and grow many greens in my backyard which I love to use," Seymour said.
Breakfast is essentially skipped, replaced with just a cup of coffee. Seymour fills in the rest of her day with light snacking, reaching for pistachios, cold cucumbers, celery and hummus rather than a traditional dinner.
Her approach centers on finding healthy foods she genuinely enjoys, removing the feeling of restriction entirely.
