As we move closer to the packed 2026 bodybuilding schedule, starting with the Arnold Classic in March and building up to Mr. Olympia in September, the bodybuilding world is preparing to host some of the greatest competitors of the modern era.

After Derek Lunsford’s win at the 2025 Olympia, several contenders are coming back for redemption. But before we get into the competitive spirit, let’s take a look at the financial boons of the sport.

2025 Mr. Olympia – Men’s Open (Top Payouts)

The 2025 Mr. Olympia was something different. Why? Well, that’s because the prize purse for the Men’s Open division reached an all-time high.

1st Place – Derek Lunsford: $600,000

2nd Place – Hadi Choopan: $200,000

3rd Place – Andrew Jacked: $100,000

4th Place – Samson Dauda: $40,000

5th Place – Martin Fitzwater: $30,000

Previously, the winner of the Mr. Olympia was traditionally paid $400,000. However, last year changed the dynamics of the sport. These payouts reflect the deep financial investment the IFBB Pro League now places in the Open class.

Total Prize Pool Across Divisions

Across 11 divisions at the 2025 Olympia, the total prize money reportedly exceeded $2 million, a figure that includes payouts for Classic Physique, 212 Olympia, Men’s Physique, Women’s division, and wheelchair classes.
