How Rebel Wilson Shred 80 lbs With Simple Diet Rules

With a determination to transform her health, the actress-comedian Rebel Wilson lost 80 pounds through a simple, consistent diet and disciplined lifestyle.
Wilson began her weight loss journey in 2020 and declared it as her “Year of Health.” Starting off slowly, her transformation gained gaining attention after the numbers reached 80 pounds. Speaking about it, she said, "For me, it was about being the healthiest version of me—it wasn't about size or a number or whatever."
So let's take a look at the specifications of the diet that helped Wilson complete this significant transformation.
Rebel Wilson's Weight Loss Diet Plan
In 2020, the actress adopted a “Mayr Method” diet, which is based on Mayr Cure, a process developed by an Austrian physician called Dr. Franz Xaver Mayr. In an interview with TODAY.com, she called herself “an emotional eater” and said, “I’m probably never going to be cured of that… I have to manage it.”

The Bridesmaids actress further explained that she followed an “old-fashioned way of working out, eating a high protein diet,” to lose weight.
Before starting her transformation journey, she used to eat fast food multiple times a day. But during her “Year of Health,” she strictly consumed only 1,500 calories, and when she reached her maintenance mode, she increased the intake slightly to 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day.
Rebel Wilson’s Go-to Meal
Beef tacos are the Jojo Rabbit actress's go-to meal. She said it is rich in protein and veggies, and also low in carbs. Wilson said, “There’s beef, and that has a lot of iron in it… for some reason I love cooking tacos.”
Rebel told Women’s Health that she “changed to eating a high-protein diet, which is challenging because I didn't use to eat a lot of meat. I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast.” She likes to fill her tacos with avocados and shredded carrots.
Rebel Wilson's Snacks
For snacks, Rebel Wilson said that she saw “on some TV show that peanut M&Ms were the healthiest junk food.” So, she decided to follow the lead. She told TODAY that “I have no idea whether that’s true, but sometimes when I really need an afternoon pick-me-up, I have peanut M&Ms.”
She also stated she prefers Manchego cheese that apart from M&Ms.
However, Wilson revealed to Women's Health that she is no longer focusing on losing weight and sometimes eats ice cream and chocolate.
