How Sydney Sweeney Lost 30lbs in 7 Weeks Post Bulking Up

"Christy" showed Sydney Sweeney's dramatic physical transformation as she gained nearly 30 pounds to authentically portray legendary boxer Christy Martin.
Overhauling her diet and committing to a rigorous gym routine, the transformation stunned fans. After the filming, she’s done it again.
“I had to be really strict with myself,” said Sweeny in her conversation with People about losing the 30 pounds she gained for the movie. "When I was training, it was really hard to put on all the weight. I was eating so much food. Like, everything you could possibly imagine.”

It was certainly a journey for her, considering the fact that she had always maintained a lean physique. To return to her former self after the Christy movie, Sweeny said she “stopped all of that.”
“When you stop working out and taking all your protein shakes, you lose muscle super fast. It's the first thing to go before fat. So, I dropped within two weeks,” she revealed. Well, the rest of the weight dropped quickly thanks to her following a clean diet.
This bodyweight metamorphosis journey was challenging, which is why Sweeny admitted that this could be the first and last time she pushed her body to such extremes.
Now, we know she stopped consuming those excess calories to lose weight, but what was her diet for the Christy movie? Let’s take a look.

“I had weight trainers, I had nutritionists, and I trained three times a day, every day. Even while I was filming, I trained as well,” said The Euphoria star. Shedding light on her journey, director David Michôd teased that her preparation came with indulgences too, adding, “And there was a lot of Chick-fil-A.”
Sweeney later confirmed this with a laugh, “A lot of Smucker’s, a lot of milkshakes, a lot of protein shakes. But it was incredible being able to completely embody such a powerful woman.”
On top of that, Sweeney was chugging down more and more protein shakes each day, which kept her throat dry throughout the day.
Gaining 30 pounds in a matter of months and then losing it in the same time frame, Sweeney certainly outdid herself. and many within the industry.
