How Torrie Wilson Tackled an Eating Disorder to Sculpt One of the Most Iconic WWE Female Physiques

Torrie Wilson is proving that her iconic WWE physique was built on resilience. The Hall of Famer overcame a six-year battle with eating disorders to become a fitness authority at 50.

Wilson struggled with an eating disorder in her teenage years and overcame it to achieve a toned, athletic physique.

Let’s unroll her sculpted fitness blueprint.

After being rejected by a modeling agency, the high school student became obsessed with physical appearance and developed bulimia and anorexia nervosa. She finally broke this vicious cycle after 6 years, at the age of 20.

With weight training and 6 meals a day, Wilson finally gained control over her body and mind. Since then, there has been no going back. Wilson made her wrestling debut in 1999 under the name Samantha and built a very sculpted physique.

According to Greatest Physiques, she got in shape by following a weight-training routine in the gym and bodyweight training at home.

According to Max Muscle Nutrition, Wilson followed an intense full-body circuit training regimen that included exercises:

  • Tire smash (10-12 reps)
  • Kettlebell swings (15 reps)
  • Squats with kettlebell (12 reps)
  • Kettlebell single-hand snatch and press (8-10 reps)
  • Elevated pushups (8-10 reps)
  • One-legged deadlift with a kettlebell  (12 reps each leg)
  • Chains (or ropes) 30-60 seconds

Along with exercise, diet has also played a significant role in maintaining her physique. For several years, Wilson has experimented with a variety of diets, such as:

  • Keto
  • Intermittent fasting
  • IIFYM

According to Greatest Physiques, she later learned the real secret hidden in the kitchen itself. So she started preparing her meals in advance herself or ordered pre-cooked, healthy, and nutritious meals. Her typical diet included:

  • Lean meat
  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Brown rice
  • Whole wheat bread
  • Veggies and fruits
  • Nuts

This combination of healthy, mindful eating and regular exercise helped her achieve one of the most iconic physiques in WWE.

She still follows the same philosophy.

Torrie Wilson’s training at 50

The former American model and mother still follows a very intense training regimen to stay healthy and fit.

On June 24, 2025, she posted a video on her Instagram, captioning it, “Never stop grinding on those gains! No anti-aging secret EVER can top what strong, shapely muscle does. There’s no cheating the system. Only putting in the time. Your future self says thank youuu very much!”

In the video, she was seen working on her biceps and performing bicep curls with variations.

In another video, which she dropped on March 27, 2025, on her social media, the post reads, “I love a good challenge. I let myself get here & you can bet I’ll get myself out! Life seems like a constant balancing act. Rarely is everything in sync for long. Evaluate & make changes!”

Wilson was seen doing a vertical climber workout. She performs 3 rounds of 60 seconds each.

So, the journey she started years ago, eating healthy and working out regularly, she still follows it, which helps her look toned, feel healthy, and fit in her 50s.
