Hugh Jackman may have turned 57, but that doesn't mean he has slowed down, and his recent pull-up challenge testified to this once more.

The Australian actor, who is known for his action hero image, recently took on a fitness challenge set by his trainer, Beth Lewis. Despite being 57, Jackman displayed energy and enthusiasm like someone much younger, which impressed his fans.

On March 13, Jackman posted a short clip of himself doing pull-ups, while captioning it as: “Another @bethlewisfit challenge!!! (And it was super tough)”. However, the way he performed in the air walk pull-ups challenge displayed that he passed it comfortably.

Beth Lewis, who herself did the movement on February 24, shared the clip of Jackman on her Instagram account and praised the actor by writing:

“@thehughjackman making this challenge look a little too easy!....” She later revealed, “Gotta make it a little harder next week.”

Jackman’s fitness enthusiasm at this age extends beyond pull-ups. The actor often gives his followers a glimpse of his workout routine through his social media.

For instance, on March 9, he posted another short video showing him performing the Double-Pole Technique. And on December 17, 2025, he was seen doing push-ups with Kate Hudson and captioned the video as:

“Friends don't let friends skip their workouts”.

For the trainer, the movement practiced by the X-Men actor was easy, but fans praised the actor with thousands of likes and comments.

Fans reacted to Hugh Jackman's pull-up video

One fan impressed by Jackman's pull-up said, "Pulling mine is an age-old practice," while another one penned, “Incredible @thehugejackman! Your fitness is amazing! You're an inspiration for everyone!”

One more fan praised Jackman, but with different words: “Wowzer, that's a brutal workout. You're the man, HJ!” However, a 65-year-old follower was taken aback by Jackman's show of fitness. The follower mentioned, "I am 65 years old... How can you still work out like this?"

Well, intense training at this age for the Aussie actor is not new. To prepare for the role of Deadpool 3, the 50+ actor had to go through 6 months of grueling workout sessions.

During an interview on HBO Max’s Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace, Jackman said, “I’ve learned you can’t rush it. I’ve learned that it takes time”.

He added, “So, we have six months from when I finish [Broadway’s The Music Man] to when I started filming. And I’m not doing any other work. I’m going to be with my family and train. That’s going to be my job for six months."

Jackman’s trainer Lewis later revealed, “Where we started is completely different from how this Wolverine ended up. Not only did Hugh get jacked, but he also got super strong, stayed healthy for performance, and achieved a VO2 max of 59 mL/min/kg”.

So, at 57, the actor continues to prove that consistency, smart training, and discipline can keep anyone fit at any age. Are you thinking of following Jackman's lead to live fitter?
