“I Don’t Eat Too Much Red Meat”- Jason Momoa Reveals His Diet at 46

When you are ‘Aquaman,’ a strict diet naturally follows as part of the role, and Jason Momoa understands this well. However, Momoa recently revealed it all to Men’s Health for their latest “Eat Like” segment, and yeah, he spilled some fun behind-the-scenes tea on how he actually eats.

Surprise: the Aquaman star doesn’t play it light in the morning. Breakfast? Big, bold, and built like a warrior.

“My guilty breakfast is like I love buttery noodles. So, tons of spaghetti, half a stick of butter, tons of sea salt on that, sunny-side-up eggs, and then a tin of caviar. Eggs on eggs is what we call. That's the banger.”

Momoa's second option is where things get a little wild, and it’s for the best

It’s a mix of black rice with avocado and his go-to protein, because as he puts it, “I love sardines”. That’s followed by “sunny side up eggs on that,” with a final touch of “seaweed like wakame.”

When it comes to lunch, Momoa explains that he is not much of a fan, so he just goes with the basics: “Eat chicken, eat whatever I’m supposed to do, keep it clean.”

Aquaman isn’t a big fan of red meat either. “I don’t eat too much red meat anymore. I used to be like steak every day, you know. I’m almost 50, and I’m like I got to lay off the caviar, oysters, beer, red wine, all the things that are, you know, king’s diet.”

His diet is one aspect, but what about his workout? A body like that must require a considerable amount of time in the gym. Let’s take a closer look.

Jason Momoa’s workout routine

Although Jason Momoa adapts his training to suit each role, he told Men’s Health that there are certain workouts he always includes in his daily routine. His routines typically blend conditioning work and cardio, with climbing.

  • Kettlebell swings : 3 x 6-8, 3 times a week
  • Boxing with resistance band: 30-sec on, 30 off, x 5
  • Bear crawls: 40 seconds on, 20 off, for 4 rounds
  • Dead hangs and pull-ups: to failure, 3 times a week

Given that, what are your thoughts on his dietary and workout habits? Tell us in the comments below.
