UFC Lightweight champion Ilia Topuria is sweating hard to prepare for the historic UFC White House Event, but another person close to Topuria is also imitating his training methods.
Ahead of the UFC White House Event, the main event holder, Ilia Topuria, dropped a training video on Instagram, preparing intensely along with his son. The video captioned "Legacy in the making" featured the father and son duo practising heavy pad work with their trainer.
While Topuria was powering through the grueling pad session, his little son Hugo, who looked like he was already preparing for his UFC debut, was seen imitating his father's routine with the same intensity.
The UFC Freedom Fights 250, or the UFC White House, is an upcoming live professional MMA event to be held on the South Lawn of the White House on June 14, coinciding with President Donald Trump's birthday. It is the first live sporting event to be held in the White House.
The event, named UFC Freedom Fights 250, commemorates the 250th birthday of the United States of America.
The fight between Ilia Topuria and the current interim champion Justin Gaethje will serve as the main event. 29-year-old Topuria is a two-weight champion who was promoted from featherweight in June 2025 after winning the UFC's 155-pound championship against Charles Oliveira, thanks to a first-round knockout.
Since late 2025, Topuria has been away from the ring due to some personal conflicts, but now with the announcement of the UFC White House, he seems to be determined to make a strong comeback.
