From a quirky middle school girl to a mom of four, seeing Hilary Duff today hits with pure nostalgia. Especially when she looks so fit and healthy at 38, there is something she has been doing right.
Duff has a serious dialled-in fitness routine, and along with that, she makes sure to feel good from within, which plays a huge part in her fitness philosophy: “I really like to be active. I have a lot of energy that I need to burn off, or else I’m like, 'Blah!' So I feel better when I’m active,” said Duff back in 2023.
The Lizzie McGuire actress prefers a morning workout, and she likes to sweat heavily, so she often relies on the Tracy Anderson method, which is a popular hot workout routine by the celebrity trainer.
"There's nothing better than the way [that workout] makes your skin feel," Hilary says. "You feel like you got rid of what you needed to get rid of, and then your skin just feels so nice. I really like that feeling."
Other than HIIT and cardio sessions, the singer/actor also likes to lift weights, which was not on her list earlier. As she was in the mindset that lifting weights would bulk her up
“Lifting weights, as a woman, is really important. It’s important for your bones. It’s important for us to be constantly on our cell phones and our posture,” Duff told Women’s Health in 2023.
Duff's approach towards food is similar to her outlook toward training, follows the same rule, structured, but never suffocating
What fuels Hilary Duff? Inside her balanced, no-restrictions daily diet
Hilary Duff says that working out 4-5 times a week is a mandatory thing for her, and with workouts, she also makes sure to keep her nutrition and diet top-notch. So, let us take a look at Duff's everyday plate.
Duff's breakfast looks pretty interesting. Some days she goes for toast topped with egg whites and cheese or avocado and tomato. But there are days when she has oatmeal with some almond butter and maple syrup to give it a sweet touch.
And, for lunch, Duff likes to have a turkey burger on top of a salad or fish on top of a salad. She also mentioned that she loves to have a good steak.
'The Never Let You Go' singer likes to keep it flexible for dinner, sometimes a quick fix like ordering from outside, or some grilled pineapples with a bottle of beer or wine.
“I like to have a beer, or a glass of wine—or two, or three,” she laughs. “I don’t put myself on strict rules, unless I’m getting in shape for something.”
Duff keeps it real, discipline where it matters, flexibility where it counts. But in a world obsessed with extremes, would you follow a routine that leaves room for both structure and a glass of wine or two?
