Inside Six-Foot-Tall Livi Sheldon's Full-Body Workout for Better Strength
Towering at an impressive height of six feet, British bodybuilder Livi Sheldon doesn’t just enter a gym; she takes charge of it. Popularly known as Diamond from Gladiators, Sheldon finally reveals what her full-body workout routine looks like. By the looks of it, she means business.
Although she missed shooting for the better part of the Gladiators season three, she was not ready to miss out on her training. Soon after recovering from an ACL and MCL injury, she revisited her training goals.
‘After rupturing my ACL and MCL last year, one of my biggest goals was to build my squat back up to 100kg – and I achieved that just months after surgery,” she said, as per Women’s Health.

“The exercises that I never skip during a week of training are all movements that build strength, shape and functionality – over the years, I’ve realized the best results come from sticking to the basics and getting really good at them.”
While training for bodybuilding, her focus was to gain muscle and strength. However, it was only after beginning CrossFit that she realized she lacked functional strength and mobility. Her go-to exercises to gain functional strength are easy but highly effective for sustainable power. These include:
- Pressing movements like bench press, shoulder, arm, and chest presses
- Weighted squats with progressive overload
- Bulgarian split squats
- Conventional and Romanian deadlifts
- Leg raises
As we already know, strength, power, and endurance aren’t merely made inside a gym. A proper nutrition plan is just as important, if not more.
Livi Sheldon Shares Nutritional Secrets
Sheldon shares a common practice in the bodybuilding community known as ‘reverse dieting,’ an excellent way to prevent weight gain after caloric restriction. She talks about this on her training platform and fitness community, LIVFIT.
“Reverse dieting was extremely important to me as I had a goal of where I wanted to be physically for my lifestyle,” she said.
After years of following strict diets during bodybuilding competitions, Sheldon happily embraced reverse dieting. Here, calories are gently introduced in the diet over a period of time rather than all at once.
This not only helps build strength and power, but also allows her to maintain consistent energy levels.
She also emphasizes the importance of ‘free meals’ or cheat meals, which she allows herself during social events. Sheldon doesn’t believe in restrictive diets anymore- her goal is to enjoy life while maintaining her fitness levels and physique.
And yes, that includes comfort foods like pizzas and chocolate!
