Jay Cutler celebrates Arnold Schwarzenegger's 79th birthday with a GOAT tribute
Legends recognize legends. Four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler made sure bodybuilding icon Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 79th birthday on July 30 did not go without a special shoutout. Cutler shared a very special post via his Instagram account @jaycutler, calling him the GOAT (Greatest of All Time). His simple but powerful message had fans cheering in agreement.
“Please join me in wishing a very happy 79th birthday to the GOAT @schwarzenegger !!!” Cutler’s Instagram caption read.
The post gathered over 30.1K likes and hundreds of comments within hours, signaling broad fan approval. Cutler’s sense of respect and admiration for the seven-time Mr. Olympia champ clearly shone through his simple but heartfelt message.

The Instagram post also features a throwback photograph of Schwarzenegger presenting the winner’s trophy to Cutler after he won the 2002 Arnold Classic. Cutler competed against Chris Cormier, who placed 2nd, and Dexter Jackson, who placed 3rd.
However, this isn’t the first time the legendary duo has been seen on stage.

Fans have always enjoyed seeing the two legendary bodybuilders on stage together. The duo has appeared together several times at events.
However, their most memorable moments on stage together included:
- 2002, when Schwarzenegger presented Cutler with his first Arnold Classic trophy, a $100,000 prize, and the event’s traditional Hummer.
- 2003, when Schwarzenegger once again awarded him the Arnold Classic trophy.
- 2004, when Schwarzenegger presented Cutler with his third consecutive Arnold Classic trophy.
- 2013, when they met at the 25th Arnold Classic anniversary.
- 2024, when Schwarzenegger presented Cutler with the Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award.
The 2024 Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award was undoubtedly one of the most respectable ones that Cutler had received from Schwarzenegger.
Furthermore, it served as one of the strongest narrative bookends, with Schwarzenegger honoring Cutler with his first trophy back in 2002 and recognizing him as a bodybuilding icon 22 years later.
