Remember the 2007 Mr. Olympia? It became one of the most controversial moments of Jay Cutler’s career, just because of Victor Martinez's belief, and years later, he still feels the same way.

The January 22 episode of the Generation Iron podcast revealed an interaction between Cutler and Martinez that took place after the 2007 Mr. Olympia contest. Martinez was visibly upset by his defeat, and as the camera shifted to the recent Generation Iron footage, he was heard saying, "Jay knew people. Jay, you know, knew a lot of people."

He further added, "Could he have made a deal? Could he have made a deal? So, do you know, maybe—I don't know if he did, man. I don't know if he did, but if he did and he knows he did, then it's on Jay, man."

Well, Martinez showed up looking like a clear Olympia threat back in 2007, while Cutler appeared a bit flat and slightly bloated early on. However, Cutler had a narrow lead after the prejudging, leaving fans sensing a possible upset.

As the night progressed, Jay’s bloating faded, and his size and presence improved. While Martinez lost some of his earlier impact. At the finish, Cutler did enough to clinch the victory, but many, including Martinez, believe foul play was involved.

Well, Martinez is not alone; even Milos Sarcev believes that Cutler shouldn’t have won the ‘07 Mr. Olympia.

Back in 2023, while reliving the controversial 2007 Mr. Olympia, Milos Sarcev didn’t mince words. He firmly believes that Jay Cutler shouldn’t have won the title.

"Hold on. Hold on. Victor [Martinez], Dennis [Wolf], and Dexter [Jackson] all beat you. He [Dexter] got fourth. Listen, there was an argument for all three," said Sarcev.

Sacrev even went as far as to say that if he had been a judge at that time, he would have given Cutler the fourth place.

"In 2007, everyone expected you to win, and you were not really in perfect shape. So, you could slip by one space maybe, but they didn’t even allow that to happen. That was a gift. But in 2007, if I was a judge, you’d be fourth," said Sarcev.

For the unreserved, Sarcev said this to Jay Cutler’s face. Given that, what are your thoughts on the argument?
