Jessica Biel’s Intense Workout Gets Funny Reply From Justin Timberlake

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre actress Jessica Biel is well known in H-town for staying active and often shares intense workout videos on Instagram. Her comments section is mostly full of positivity, but this time Justin Timberlake couldn't resist commenting, "literally eating onion rings while I watch this."

Looks like Biel puts in the work, Timberlake puts in the jokes.

The routine has been designed by her decade-long trainer Ben Bruno. The workouts include lateral raises, dumbbell bench press, lateral-to-front raises with a bent-back position, and gorilla rows.

Although she starts with 10 min of mobility work before jumping into the above-mentioned exercises, Bruno noted that "Jess would be happy doing mobility the whole time if I let her because she loves it."

The lower body got something of a break, since, as Bruno explained, Biel's "legs were feeling extra spicy from the last workout." Her core didn't get the same mercy.

Describing one particularly grueling exercise, Bruno admitted, "If this next core exercise looks brutal, it's because it is. Jess usually calls me various obscenities when I make her do it, but thankfully I've got thick skin."

The session closed on interval cycling Bruno nicknamed "the Satan cycle." Asked for her honest take, Biel responded with an audible grunt. "Okay, so maybe 'like' isn't the right word here," Bruno joked, "but the hard exercises you hate doing are generally the ones that work the best. Sorry, not sorry."

Biel confirmed the toll in her caption: "Yes, I'm definitely feeling it today. 😅"

Jessica Biel Doesn’t Always Train at Full Intensity

Jessica Biel is a mother of two children with Justin Timberlake, Silas (born 2015) and Phineas (born 2020). So it’s not easy for her to grind at this level every workout session throughout the year.

In another post, Biel’s trainer, Ben Bruno, revealed that she “doesn’t always train that hard throughout the year,” ramping things up to “beast mode” only when there’s work involved where she has to look good for.

Otherwise, he mentioned that she hits weights roughly two to three times a week, sometimes just once, and fills the rest of her workouts with Pilates and cardio to keep things balanced.

This balance was demonstrated by a dumbbell complex that Bruno posted, in which Biel performed four exercises in succession without breaks, with five repetitions on each side.

Thus, although Biel can certainly turn on her “beast mode” when she needs to, she definitely trains quite differently on other occasions.

What’s your favorite move from Jessica Biel’s full-body routine?
