Jessie J Reveals the Ten-Minute Fitness Routine Powering Recovery

‘Price Tag’ singer Jessie J has always been adored by fans for her powerful vocals and transparent personality. In June 2025, she publicly shared the devastating news of her diagnosis – early-stage breast cancer. After undergoing surgery, she is well on the road to recovery, focusing on rebuilding her fitness.

In an interview with Women’s Health, she talks about how her focus shifted from heavy weights at the gym to Pilates. To enhance her cardiovascular health, she decided to get a Peloton, working on it for just ten minutes daily.

“I feel like I want to make a promise as best I can, as consistency is not my thing, to work out or move my body every day – even if it's just for 10 minutes, until my next surgery. Because I just don't feel strong,” she reveals candidly on an Instagram post.

She admits that she had never been a “cardio queen,” actively avoiding it as much as she could. However, her introduction to Peloton helped her get into gentler cardio work like light cycling and recovery work.

Just quick ten-minute rides have been a great way of pumping blood, rebuilding strength, and energy slowly.

She noted how movement has not only been important for her physical health but also her mental health. The quick workouts and recovery classes helped her stay mentally strong, and adding meditation had been a game-changer.

How Jessie J’s Positive Mindset Can Aid Faster Recovery

Jessie J’s honest updates felt humorous and lighthearted, but we all know how difficult the recovery process can be. A bone-chilling diagnosis like cancer can be even tougher to deal with. However, the Bang Bang star has proved how being mentally strong and keeping your spirits high matters just as much as physical recovery.

She opens up about how meditation has been a key to her recovery process.

“I’m a very stressful person, and so I’m trying to be better at letting that go. The way I meditate is with a made-up word, with no connotations. I picture it being drawn in my mind. So if I’m in a busy environment, like at an awards ceremony, I think of that word, and it pulls me back to calm.”

Small activities like listening to music, spending quality time with friends and family, and short workouts can make tough days easier. While the road to recovery is different for individuals, a healthy, positive mindset can help people bounce back with resilience.

Jessie J’s story is proof that small daily habits can make a big difference.
