Joan Collins Reveals the Anti-Aging Foods Keeping her Young at Ninety-Two
British Actress Joan Collins was recently spotted at the Cannes Film Festival looking vibrant and youthful. Best known for her role in Dynasty, this actress is the epitome of “aging gracefully.”
She recently opened up about her ‘secret anti-aging food,’ and it’s not some magic superfood from another universe! Talking to HELLO Magazine, the 92- year old shared her diet that has kept her young.
"I try to eat a balanced diet. I think eating avocados is very beneficial, and I believe in taking vitamin supplements – I take Vitamin C, E, and omega oils. The quality of what you eat is as important as the quality of the products you use.”
Avocados, berries, salmon, leafy greens, chia seeds, dark chocolate, yogurt – these are just some of the superfoods that help Collins age gracefully.
Of course, Collins is only human and has temptations just like the rest of us. She admits to indulging in a bit of milk chocolate whenever she gets a chance.
"The cheaper, the better. I treat myself. Why not?"

Collins also reveals that she takes three vitamin supplements daily- Vitamin E, C, and omega oils. Moreover, she admits that she never reaches out for late-night snacks or processed foods.
"Never, not before I go to bed. I believe our body is a factory; it needs to be fed the right things. If you have a great car, you don't put inferior petrol into it. I'm very fussy about what I eat," she said.
Apart from her diet, what does she eat to stay fit even in her 90s?
Collins Active Lifestyle in Her 90s
Collins has always enjoyed a very active lifestyle from a young age. As a teenager, she would spend hours dancing in dance halls and clubs. In order to stay in shape as an adult, she enjoyed Pilates and the gym.
However, as she got older, she shifted away from intense workouts that stressed her body.
According to My Weekly Magazine, Collins highly recommends physiotherapy.
"I highly recommend working out with a physiotherapist for older men and women who want to stay fit. Half an hour a day is mostly what I do, and I've found that it gives me energy.'
Moreover, she enjoys going for a swim regularly, even at this age, she tells Daily Mail.
And if all this wasn't surprising enough, she also reveals that she can still do the splits!
"I do the splits very easily," she says, laughing, on BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour.
Collins' approach proves that healthy aging isn't about extreme measures. At the end of the day, it's the simple, everyday stuff that counts.
