Joe Baena Shares His Summer Plans Besides Bodybuilding & Training

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, Joe Baena, knows how to balance his bodybuilding preparation with enjoyment in life.

Baena, who recently admitted to participating in another bodybuilding competition in November, has been seen enjoying himself at a beach, revealing his summer plans.

On June 7, Baena shared a post on his Instagram about his summer plans. He added,

“My summer plans include training, cooking, and enjoying the beach!”

He also showed his fans how he takes care of his hair. Baena posted some of his own photos, along with beauty products he will use to grow out his hair.

He added,

“The 15 in 1 conditioner from @paulmitchell gives you professional results at home, like making your hair 71% stronger. With 15 key benefits, this deep conditioner is what I’ll be using all summer!"

He frequently spends time at the beach. Baena often shares posts from the California coast, frequenting local spots like Venice and Malibu beaches, where Baena works out and surfs.

While he takes time for other hobbies, he does not stay away from training.

Joe Baena’s training routine

Baena, who earned his first professional bodybuilding title in March by winning the NPC Natural Colorado State Championships and earned his Pro card by winning the INBA Iron Gladiator in the Classic Physique division, does not take a break from his training.

Baena knows that success comes from a consistent routine.

According to Men's Health, the son of 7-time Mr. Olympia trains 5 days a week to maintain his shredded physique.

His 5-day workout split includes:

  • Monday: Push and biceps, cardio
  • Tuesday: Pull and triceps, cardio
  • Wednesday: Legs
  • Thursday: Cardio
  • Friday: Upper, cardio
  • Saturday: Lower, cardio
  • Sunday: Rest.

Talking about his cardio, he told GQ, “No running. It was all steady-state cardio. Walking on the treadmill for 30 to 40 minutes. I know some guys do an hour – I think that’s a bit much, especially if you’re doing this naturally, which I am.

Steady-state cardio on the treadmill or StairMaster. The StairMaster was a game-changer. And if I can’t get to those, I’m in Santa Monica, so I’ll just walk around the neighborhood or along the beach and get my steps in”.
