Joe Rogan reveals how weightlifting helps in anti-aging- "A little demon"

Joe Rogan knows about the usefulness of various workouts from his experience in martial arts, and the 58-year-old views lifting weights as a habit that can slow down the ageing process significantly.
On March 9, Anti-aging Legacy shared an Instagram update featuring a section of Rogan's appearance on an episode of Andrew Schulz's Flagrant podcast. It displayed Rogan emphasizing how lifting weights can reduce the effects of ageing.
The UFC color commentator said, “If there’s one thing someone can do to stop ageing, it’s lift weights and don’t stop and don’t do it for vanity. Do it because you want to keep your tissue. You have to lift heavy things.”
Referring to age as "a little demon that robs a body of its tissues," he also stated that it gradually affects simple tasks like climbing up the stairs, or opening jars or car doors.
Rogan’s main argument was that the body responds to stress and can adapt accordingly. When you challenge your muscles through weight training and fuel them with nutrients, the body automatically builds strength, which controls the muscle mass decline with age.
Having said that, he also advised viewers not to lift weights beyond their capabilities; otherwise, they can risk sustaining injuries. In cases where lifting isn't possible, he recommended bodyweight exercises like chin-ups, push-ups, and free squats.
Lots of people might feel like listening to Rogan's advice, especially because of the toned physique he maintains, even at 58. However, he has his own ways to maintain such a lean build.

During the same episode of the podcast, Rogan gave a candid answer about the secret of his jacked physique at 58. Alexx Media, who also graced the episode, questioned him about what he does to maintain his toned body, and Rogan didn't hide his secrets.
He revealed, "The big results come from testosterone replacement [TRT], so there’s that, and then there are peptides that increase your body’s ability to grow hormones like growth hormones and IGF-1 [Insulin-like growth factor 1] and all.”
Rogan also didn't shy away from elaborating on what kind of peptides he consumes. He revealed taking BPC-157, ipamorelin, and thymosin.
According to the seasoned comedian, they help him produce the hormones that his body produced naturally when he was younger.
