John Cena denies Randy Orton & reveals the WWE legend who physically hurt him the most
WWE is a game of physical grit and endurance, where getting hurt and feeling pain are the byproducts. Recently, the veteran wrestler and actor John Cena spoke about the wrestlers and moves that hurt him the most at the MegaCon Orlando convention.
On MArch 21, MEGACON Orlando shared a video on Instagram, captioned, “Our spine felt this 😬 Find out which WWE finisher hurt John Cena the most.”
The video showed Cena at the convention, answering fans' questions regarding his experience with wrestling moves and finishers.
When a fan asked which finisher hurts the most, Cena said, “It's not a finisher, but that d*** German suplex. I don't know. I guess if you take 85 of them, yeah, that'll probably hurt the most.”
He continued addressing how different moves could be difficult to both execute and absorb.
“F5 is a tough one. All the splashes are tough, too. These guys are just heaving themselves off the top rope. There's no cheating gravity,” Cena added.
Cena also talked about Randy Orton's signature finisher, the RKO. Although the move deals with Orton grabbing his opponent's head and slamming them headfirst onto the stage, Cena brushes it off as "easy".
The WWE star joked, “RKO is easy. Don't tell Randy.”
He also commented on the Tombstone move, “I've only taken one of those. I also gave one. It worked in both cases. So that's a pretty good one.”
While revealing his experience with Big Show, Cena explained how getting subjected to a chokeslam from Big Show was especially brutal.
According to the wrestler, it was "because when he gets you up, the fall is like 12 feet. He's seven feet with these broomstick arms, and you're just looking at the mat going, that's a long way down. That's a tough one.”
Big Show used the move on Cena at WWE Backlash 2009. The iconic moment showed the former destroying the stage by throwing Cena into a spotlight. It showcased the intensity of physical pain and endurance associated with the sport.
Cena retired from the sport in 2025, but hasn’t left the wrestling world completely.
John Cena at Black & Brave Wrestling Academy
The former WWE star recently visited WWE’s training school, Black and Brave Wrestling Academy. On May 27, the academy's official Instagram account shared a photo carousel covering Cena's visit.
The post was captioned, “We were honored to welcome the incomparable @johncena to the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy today!”
Cena gave five hours of training to students and spent an additional one hour in a 1-on-1 session with the graduates.
According to Wrestling Inc, the academy was founded in 2014 in Davenport by WWE wrestler Seth Rollins and his partner, Marek Brave.
In the photos, Cena looked happy and engaged with the students while giving them tips and mentoring them.
In fact, pro wrestler Bruss Hamilton took to X, posting a picture with Cena on May 27.
“Crazy level of advice and wisdom from @JohnCena today. Thank you, @BlackandBrave, for providing this opportunity,” Hamilton wrote.
Cena has recently retired from the sport after enduring years of intense pain and physical injuries during his active career. However, his love for the sport has remained intact, even into retirement.
