Although incurable, the symptoms could be managed with medicine and lifestyle changes. One of those changes included a high-sodium, low-potassium diet. In the process, he excluded any form of rich, processed, and fibrous foods to avoid accidentally triggering the symptoms.

As reported by Food Republic, President Kennedy preferred a light diet with “soup, sandwich, and fruit” man, he preferred simple foods that were easy to digest.

Some presidents had notably unique food preferences, such as Richard Nixon’s fondness for cottage cheese and ketchup or Bill Clinton being served gelatin with canned cherries at the White House.

Kennedy, however, preferred simpler meals and was especially fond of soups.
