Jonathan Majors Pushed Hard by Ronnie Coleman After Surgeries

There was a time when Jonathan Majors became a bodybuilder, not for any competition but for his movie Magazine Dreams. Although the transformation was challenging, it was Ronnie Coleman who pushed Majors hard to reach his goal.
The news recently resurfaced when, on March 30, BoxLife Magazine shared the details about Majors' transformation in an Instagram post.
The post reads: “RONNIE COLEMAN PUT JONATHAN MAJORS THROUGH A BRUTAL CHEST AND TRICEPS SESSION WHILE RECOVERING FROM 13 SURGERIES.”
Coleman shared a training session on his YouTube channel in which the 2 were seen dealing with high-volume, high-intensity, and no-shortcut exercises.
The classic Coleman-style triceps and chest workouts included:
- Seated chest fly: 20 reps, 3 sets
- Seated chest press: 20 reps, 2 sets
- Rope triceps pushdown: 20 reps, 3 sets
- Decline dumbbell press: 20 reps, 3 sets
- Seated triceps machine: more than 50 reps
Majors fueled his physique with 6,100 calories daily, spread across six protein-packed meals, while training up to three times a day.
Apart from the intense workout session, Majors also followed a high-calorie diet.

Majors had the 8-time Mr. Olympia’s Yeah Buddy pre-workout, which helped him ignite his energy for the session.
After taking this, Majors said, “I’m tingling like crazy”. In response, Coleman added, “It gets you strongheaded. You feel it in your head first.”
According to the Instagram post, “Majors fueled his physique with 6,100 calories daily across six protein-packed meals while training up to three times a day.”
At the Sundance Film Festival, he said, “I’m 6 feet tall. I’m 202 pounds. In order to sustain that and to grow that, you have to eat as much protein as you weigh.
Playing [Killian Maddox], you don’t mess around. You train, eat, sleep, and repeat.”

It was during the time when Coleman worked for the police. Back then, the bodybuilding legend only trained for 1 hour.
Majors also paused when learning that Coleman had undergone 13 surgeries in his lifetime. According to the King, he faced:
- 8 back surgeries
- 3 surgeries on his heels
- 3 neck surgeries
So, it was Coleman's personal instance of perseverance and unforgiving workout approach that pushed and drove Majors for his extraordinary transformation.
