Kai Greene Sheds Light On His Potential Return at the 2026 Arnold Classic

After a decade spent away from the stage, Kai Greene has just teased the possibility of a return.

Former Arnold Classic winner Kai Greene's The Kai Greene Effect collaborated with the Generation Iron podcast on January 24. When asked if he would consider returning to compete in the Arnold Classic 2026, if invited, he said he didn't rule it out.

"It's possible. You know, it's one of those things where I mean, yeah, I didn't retire..."

Back in 2015, when Kai Greene didn't appear at Mr. Olympia, fans were shocked. But when he competed at the Arnold Classic and won it, they thought his competitive career would continue. However, the Arnold Classic 2016 in Brazil would be the last time fans saw him at an event. He won the competition that year, marking his third win, and hasn't competed in any bodybuilding competition ever since.

That's why the next question to Kai Greene was if the Arnold Classic had reached out to him, since it's an invite-only event. He clarified that no invitation has been extended. However, the main hurdle would be the long preparation time.

"I think you could be stage-ready relatively quickly. But if you would think about meeting the standards... I think anywhere like 8-10 months."

If He's Not Competing, What Has Kai Greene Been Up To?

When co-host Vlad Yudin asked him what he had been up to, Greene gave a glimpse of his upcoming animated project.

"I'm working on this really awesome animated series. It hasn't been picked up yet... Kai Afro King is a project that I've been working on. It's a part of a larger company called the Dynamic Muscle Company Comics.

Not spilling too much information about the project, Greene expressed his excitement and assured that he would speak about it in the future.
