Karol G Once Claimed Weight Management Is Stressful: “I Don’t Eat Any Desserts”

Celebrities have access to some of the best trainers in the world, but that doesn't mean the road to fitness is easy. Karol G faced the same problem.

“I don't eat any desserts, I reduce dairy products, and eat Greek yogurt with granola only twice a week."

In 2019, the Tusa singer took a break from her world tour and spoke to People CHICA from Romania about how stressful managing her weight has been for her due to her insulin problem. She also spoke about what keeps her fit and healthy.

Karol G gained mainstream success after the release of her single 'Ahora Me Llama,' a collaboration with Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, but it wasn't until the release of her debut album, Unstoppable, that she received worldwide fame. Since then, she has become one of the most recognized faces of Latin American music.

During the interview, she revealed that her trainer travels with her at all times to make sure she eats clean and works out. The 35-year-old is particular about her diet, but does not like to follow any strict diet plans. Her diet includes carbohydrates, which she eats only once a day at lunch. She also eats lean proteins, vegetables, and salads.

The Colombian beauty even eats healthily during her cheat days. Instead of eating things like fast food, she prefers steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. Maybe once in a while, she will indulge in a French fry pizza, and that's because she believes in having a balance in life.

Diet is just one aspect of Karol G's fitness; the other part is training.

What Does Karol G’s Training Routine Look Like?

Whether she is recording in a studio or touring in different countries, Karol G ensures she never misses her workouts.

She loves doing her circuit training and carries her elastic bands everywhere she goes, and if the hotel she is staying at has a gym, she also lifts weights. According to the singer, her training is 'focused on CrossFit.'
