Talk about productivity, and LeBron James shows the blueprint.

At 41, the NBA legend is still breaking charts with his performances, and it’s all thanks to his fitness, specifically his diet.

“I hate getting out of shape," James said in his conversation with Mind the Game: Season 2. "It's like: 'Oh. But I wonder how other people feel that haven't done anything.' So you've just gotta stay tapped in.”

Over the years, James has changed his appearance, workouts, and even homes, but his diet has remained constant.

What Does LeBron James Eat All Day?

Standing 6”9' tall and weighing around 205 pounds, Lebron James keeps his diet focused on whole foods only.

According to Men’s Health, LeBron James usually prefers a heavy breakfast that includes egg whites, omelettes, yogurt, smoked salmon, berries, and gluten-free pancakes.

During his conversation with Mind the Game, James expressed that he stays hydrated throughout the day and makes sure to consume a fruit smoothie or overnight oats after practice before waiting for lunch.

For lunch, ‘The King’ focuses on adding as much protein as possible along with leafy vegetables. His usual meal includes a spinach salad with vegetables, grilled chicken, and a light balsamic vinaigrette or olive oil dressing.

He adds fresh fruit, such as sliced berries, apples, or mandarin oranges, as a salad topper. Well, his dinner looks quite similar to his lunch as well. However, every Tuesday he goes out for Taco Tuesday with his family.

Consuming at least 250–300 grams of protein a day, he makes sure his body gets as much nutrition as possible for recovery. Well, now that we know about her diet, let’s have a look at his workouts.

James Reveals His Training Schedule

“I'm trying to maximize, how could I be in optimal shape and game-ready for the next day. I'm always thinking about the next day," James said when explaining his routine.

James’ preparation starts during the summer. In his conversation with Mind the Game: Season 2, he revealed that he tries to train 5 days a week, with Saturday as his recovery day.

"I usually lift three days out of the week, where I'm in the weight room lifting, and then the other two days, I'm just doing the ball work, band work, mobility stuff," James said.

Staying agile, rather than focusing on physical conditioning, is a requirement of his trade. But looks like James prefers sustainability over experimentation. What do you think?
