Lee Priest on How To Get Rid of Body Fat: “Eat Clean Food”

Bodybuilding legend Lee Priest has simple advice for anyone struggling with belly fat. During an appearance on Sam's Fitness YouTube channel, the IFBB Ironman Pro winner offered a direct, no-nonsense approach to getting lean.

"You know what's bad, you know what's good," he said. "Stay away from the s**t*and just eat clean food. Do cardio and train, and you'll get rid of that pudgy little belly fat. I know I gotta do it. I just don't want to cut out all the good food. When I say good food, I mean the ice creams and stuff."

He ate a lot of fruit during his competition days, but there's one key aspect for the bodybuilder. Unlike other bodybuilders who either go protein-heavy or follow a strict keto diet by cutting out carbs, Priest believed balance was essential for sustained energy.

“I've never been extreme on carnivore diets or all protein or keto. I prefer to have a balance of protein, carbs, and fats. Some people add fats like avocado and good oils. The only fats I got were from steak and chicken,” said the bodybuilding veteran in his conversation with Generation Iron.

Priest is determined to help his fanbase get healthier. Apart from that, he has another piece of advice for his fans.

Lee Priest Is Bullish on Meal Prep

Meal prep is very important not only for athletes but also for individuals determined to lose weight and gain muscle.

"The main thing is, too, like I said, if you have those prepared meals and stuff ready to go… you'll find you stick to it more, too. I find there's nothing worse than when you are hungry, and there's nothing prepared. That's when you go for the best food."

His final tip to fans is to never go grocery shopping while hungry, as it can lead you to buy unnecessary items, especially processed foods.
