Lewis Hamilton Reveals His Morning Routine: Three Habits He Swears By Daily

Ahead of the Formula 1 2026 season, which begins on March 8, 7-time Lewis Hamilton is sharpening his skills that will aid his longevity.
In a recent interview with EatingWell, Hamilton revealed, "I try to keep my mornings pretty consistent. I'll wake up, hydrate, get some movement in, and take a moment to reset manually."
Only after these three things are checked off his list does he sit down for breakfast, which includes something protein-rich like oats or a smoothie. As a vegan, Sir Lewis enjoys marinated tofu, quinoa, chickpeas, or edamame to complete his protein intake.
When asked what eating well meant to him, he replied, "For me, it's all about balance. It supports how I train, how I feel, and how I show up day to day.

The F1 GOAT shared some practices that help him handle the pressures of being an elite F1 driver and stay ahead of the curve at 40.
Breath easy
According to the world champion, earlier, he didn't know the importance of conscious breathing, but after including techniques like box breathing, the four-step breathing technique, helped him breath better.
Stretching
Hamilton ensures to stretch every morning without fail, no matter the cost. He admitted that during his time at McLaren, his coach never suggested stretching, but over the years, he has become more mindful.
He said that he has had problems with his knees and even dislocated his shoulder, which almost made him miss a season, and since then, he started focusing on recovery a lot.
Meditation
Just 10 minutes of sitting on the sofa with a pillow behind his back and neck, or sitting on the floor, leaning against a chair, helps him reset his mind positively. Hamilton also finds running therapeutic, and admitted that it is when he does his most thinking.
Lewis Hamilton's Training Routine
Even at 40, Hamilton's approach to training is the same as it was when he was 22. Over the years, he has added a few things to his training to help him improve physically and mentally. So, besides the above-mentioned routine, his training includes:
- HIIT in the morning, but that doesn't include weight training, as he can't afford to bulk up.
- Yoga
- Pilates
- Ice baths
- Positive affirmations
